The Fédération internationale des associations d’études classiques (FIEC), founded in 1950, celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2025. To mark this occasion, we warmly invite all participants and guests to a special open session commemorating the history and legacy of the organisation. The session will take place on Wednesday, 9 July, at 14:30 in the Oratorium Marianum, located in the University’s main building (plac Uniwersytecki 1).

Challenges for Classical Studies: The FIEC and the future
This presentation will review the challenges facing Classical Studies in the near and medium term. These challenges also force us to consider the objectives of FIEC, its programs, and its approach. Some of the new lines of action that FIEC may undertake will also be reviewed.
